Long hill and icy sidewalk run

Today I headed out through East Rock Park for the first time. I knew there was a bit of a hill but - WOW - it was long. I cant wait for the summit road opens in the spring to try and tackle the whole thing. Once I left the park on the north side I ran up into Hamden and then back down Whitney to New Haven. Sidewalks on a whole were a mess - so my time was slowed down by quite a bit. Still a beautiful (and cold) run, especially near Whitney Park.
