Hot sweaty six

WOW - it was hot today. Easily in the upper 80s/low 90s. I told myself just to go out take it easy - and when you feel miserable turn around and go home and nothing more than six miles. I also took the opportunity today to run a new route and look for Long Wharf (in hopes running along the water would be cooler - fat chance).

First three miles were smooth - nice and easy. Sweat like crazy but felt good. Then around mile 4 the heat started to really take its toll. I was keeping an eye on the heart rate - and since it was slowly creeping up over time - I thought it would be best to slow down a bit to keep it in check. Last 3 miles were definitely slower - yet my HR was the highest during these miles. Darn heat.

Overall felt good - even with the heat. Legs are pretty much fully recovered from Ragnar which is good - as the 100on100 relay last year took some time to fully recover from.
