Today I registered for the CVS Caremark Downtown 5k in Providence on Sept. 21st. Since I have now registered for it, Ill put my goal here. I am aiming for a 7:59 pace. Its a bit ambitious...but hey why make "easy" goals.
I'm going to register for the Shawn Nassaney Memorial 5k on Monday when I get back to work.

Hey, I was wondering, do you do anything besides speed work to improve your pace? Because I started doing leg strengthening exercises on my rest days - just stuff I can do at home, no weights or machines - and it's already made a huge difference after a few weeks. When I run at what feels like the same comfortable jogging pace as always, it's 30-40 seconds faster per kilometer than before.
